Last year I awarded Truffles Grill (formerly known as Truffles Cafe) with the Exclusive Eats Best Customer Service Award. I was so impressed by this casually chic restaurant that I religiously told all of my friends who were celebrating a birthday or special occasion to stop by and try out Buckhead's newest budget friendly restaurant! Since my original post Truffles Grill has only gotten better. I had the wonderful opportunity to revisit the restaurant after its name change only to see that the management, decor, and amazing customer service has stayed the same! The only upgrade were the new additions to the scrumptious menu! My guest and I started our meals off with two speciality cocktails both priced at $9. I sampled the White Cosmopolitan which was a sweet mixture of ketel one citroen, peach schnapps, lime, and white cranberry juice! Super tasty. My guest enjoyed the Rioja Sangria which was a large refreshing glass of red wine, grand marnier, mixed berries, fresh lime and orange juice. Truffles Grill has a fantastic cocktail menu in addition to draft beers, bottled beers and an extensive wine list. For our appetizers we tried two new additions to the menu: the Baked Brie in Puff Pastry ($10) which was topped with kahlua pecans, fresh fruit, and french bread as well as the Fresh Mushroom Crostini ($9) which was an amazing blend of chopped cremini, shiitake and button mushrooms, fresh herbs and olive oil served along size warm grilled french bread. My guest never would have expected to order a mushroom appetizer but was throughly impressed at how tasty the dish was. For our main dishes we sampled the Chicken Pot Pie ($12), the Grouper ($18), Shrimp Linguini Pasta ($15), and the 8-ounce center cut Filet ($24). I'm getting hungry just writing this post because I truly enjoyed every dish! The Chicken Pot Pie was a generous helping of tender breast meat, carrots, broccoli, mushrooms, sweet bell peppers, and white wine cream sauce all in a fluffy puff pastry. Comfort food at its best, the chicken pot pie seems like it came straight from your mother's oven! My guest and I really loved this dish! This time around I'm going to declare the Grouper the best dish at Truffles Grill (last time I didn't have a chance to sample it) but i'm giving serious kudos to my waiter for suggesting this entree. The Grouper came with a fresh basil parmesan glaze, garlic mashed potatoes and fresh veggies. I'm a huge cheese person so this parmesan glaze gave me life! Super tasty and extremely filling. I was also very pleased with the Shrimp Linguini Pasta as it came with large plump shrimp, tomatoes, fresh basil and brie. The portion size was big enough for two people but once you order this dish you will NOT want to share :-) ! Finally our Filet was a generous 8 ounce center cut steak finished with organic butter and sea salt along side garlic mashed potatoes and fresh veggies. One of the most expensive menu items ($24) this dish does not disappoint. The steak was cooked to perfection and paired with one of the amazing Crab Cakes. To finish our meal off we treated ourselves to the delicious Blondie and Key Lime Pie desserts (both $6). Honestly y'all I cannot brag about Truffles Grill enough! Since it's opening this restaurant has crept it's way into one of my TOP 5 favorite restaurants in the city. Between the amazing customer service, fabulous and affordable menu there is not much critiquing I can do of this restaurant. If you are looking to entertain your significant other or throw a lavish celebration for your birthday I highly suggest Truffles Grill.
