It's official - @Exclusive_Eats has located the TRENDIEST spot of the summer! Delia's Chicken Sausage Stand is a colorful and creative restaurant serving up the tastiest chicken sausages on this side of the Mason Dixon! I had the pleasure of stopping by Delia's with a friend of mine last week. We were met by the gracious owner Delia Champion who toured us around the restaurant. A real "Champion" in the restaurant business, Delia is the former owner of The Flying Biscuit (an Atlanta breakfast favorite) and has recently opened this new sausage stand to provide Atlanta with her famous chicken sausage recipe. Now I don't want you all to be fooled by the name - Delia's Chicken Sausage Stand is NOT a food truck, it is an actual restaurant where you can walk in and order your food. Outside of the restaurant there are picnic tables where you and your guests can dine. One thing that really stood out to me about Delia's Chicken Sausage Stand was the great customer service. The restaurants staff seemed to genuinely enjoy their job, and appreciated seeing their customers enjoy their meals. To my surprise Delia let me know that the stand is now open 24 hours on Friday and Saturday! That means all you late night party animals have a new spot to try in the wee hours of the morning! Praise the Lord because Atlanta really needed a trendy late night alternative to The Waffle House. For all of my student followers Delia's Chicken Sausage Stand is right in your price bracket. Every menu item is priced at $6.49 or less! In addition the serving sizes are so large that you could even split a "Sligner" ( a hand-crafted jumbo link sausage on a fresh hoagie roll). My guest and I started our dining experience off with a Double D Slider ($4.99 - comes with 2 in an order) which is a chicken sausage patty on a grilled Krispy Kreme doughnut topped with cherry cream cheese. I know! I know! You have never in a million years thought of eating a Krispy Kreme as a sandwich - but let me assure you this creation is heavenly! You must try it once in your life. Next my guest and I tried out a few Slingers! Starting with "The Hot Mess" ($5.99) which is a link sausage topped with chili, Wild Heaven Cheese sauce, jalapenos, and "comeback" sauce. Yum!! I am a huge cheese fan and this Wild Heaven Cheese sauce is scrumptious (I even ordered a side of it for my Wedgies ($2.99) which are tasty thick cut fries. Next up we sampled "The Three Way" ($5.99) which is a link sausage topped with coleslaw, chili, kraut, and "comeback sauce". If you are a coleslaw fan you will love this dish because the slaw is made with white balsamic vinegar as a base instead of mayo making it way less fattening and extremely tasty! We continued our food fest by sampling the Italian Stallion ($6.49) which is link sausage topped with mozzarella, sauteed onions and peppers and drizzled with marinara sauce and the Naked Slinger ($3.99) which is a regular link sausage topped with "comeback sauce". The Naked Slinger was my personal favorite. It was simple and not too heavy but packed alot of flavor into each bite. It is also the cheapest slinger on the menu. Finally, we finished up our slinger samples with The Grinder ($6.49) which are chicken sausage meatballs topped with mozzarella and marinara sauce. Yum! If you think I was stopping here you are wrong! I needed some refreshing drinks to enjoy with my food so I sampled The Swirlie ($2.50) which is a cool slushy mixture of frozen raspberry lemonade and frozen sweet tea. This drink is perfect way to cool off in this summer heat. Y'all know that I have a sweet tooth so I couldn't leave Delia's Chicken Sausage Stand without trying a Cake Shake ($2.99) Each Cake Shake is made with local milk, inverted sugar and madagascar vanilla fused together with your favorite seasonal cupcake. I had the pleasure of tasting the chocolate chip flavor as well as the strawberry coconut! Both were delicious! I was so full upon leaving Delia's Chicken Sausage Stand!! This new spot is the definition of trendy and tasty. If you are looking to take a friend out for lunch, are in a rush and need some quick food or are simply looking for a place to eat after a long night of partying I highly suggest stopping by Delia's Chicken Sausage Stand. You will not leave hungry!

Sidenote: One of the co-owners of Delia's Chicken Sausage Stand is an alum of my highschool. All of my Paideia followers need to go and support one of our own!
