Breakfast is one of my favorite meals of the day. I’m definitely a pancake, bacon, eggs, and grits type girl! So I'm always trying to find the perfect breakfast spots that are trendy but showcase all of my favorite traditional menu items. I feel like I struck gold when I stumbled upon Another Broken Egg, a new breakfast cafe located in the Peachtree Battle shopping complex. Another Broken Egg is very new to Atlanta, but this Louisiana restaurant chain is no rookie to the breakfast game. My guest and I decided to have breakfast at the bar top inside of this cute cafe but were pleased to see that there was available patio seating, booths for large groups and plenty of nicely decorated tables sprinkled across the restaurant. To begin our meal we sampled the Biscuit Beignets ($4.99) which were 8 petite southern style beignets lightly tossed in powdered sugar and served with a honey marmalade dipping sauce. Super yummy! I was also encouraged by the owner to step out of my comfort zone and taste the Blackberry Grits ($2.99) which was a serving of southern grits topped with a special blackberry creation. For our main plates my guest ordered the Cinnamon Roll French Toast ($9.79) which is a beautiful plate of sliced cinnamon rolls that are grilled with a french toast batter, layered with warm cream cheese icing and topped with banana foster sauce, warm berries and whipped cream. OMG! This was probably my favorite dish of the summer. It was just that good! If you have a sweet tooth I definitely suggest you order this! My guest also ordered a side of bacon to accompany his meal. ($3.49).For my meal I tried an Egg-citing Scrambler called the Lakeshore Scramble ($10.49) which was a large serving of scrambled eggs, bacon, onions, mushrooms, and ham all smothered in a monterey jack and cheddar cheese blend. The meal also came with a side of country potatoes (to die for) and an english muffin. The Lakeshore Scramble was scrumptious and I will definitely re-order it when I return!  We also tried the Eggs Sardou ($11.99) which is one of the restaurants signature benedicts. Now usually I wouldn't order something like this but I was actually impressed by the flavor this plate packed. If you are not familiar with egg sardou it is a traditional New Orleans egg dish that is made with sauteed spinach, artichokes and two poached eggs all topped with a creamy hollandaise and florentine sauce on an english muffin. All in all the service and food at Another Broken Egg was flawless. I loved every menu item and throughly enjoyed the restaurant's atmosphere. The next time you are looking to grab a casual breakfast or brunch I suggest you stop by Another Broken Egg.
