I have to admit that @Exclusive_Eats has been pretty partial to Midtown and Buckhead restaurants. As a company we love the hustle and bustle of the inner city, but we would be failing our readers if we didn't expose you all to the other wonderful food districts in Atlanta. Downtown Decatur has amazing restaurants that have slipped under the radar somehow by local Atlanta bloggers and foodies. Exclusive Eats had the wonderful opportunity to uncover one of Decatur's hidden gems "Sprig". Located off of Lavista Rd in Decatur, Sprig is the perfect 1st date restaurant for someone looking for a romantic, casual, yet inviting ambiance. When I first arrived at Sprig I was taken aback because the restaurant is located inside of a strip mall plaza. I solemnly thought to myself "plaza restaurants erase the fine in fine dining". However to my COMPLETE SURPRISE when I entered Sprig I felt as if my body had been morphed into a totally different environment full of elegance and  enchantment. I absolutely loved the interior design of Sprig. The restaurant is full of dark mahogany wood with candle lit tables perfect for an intimate romantic dinner. There is a spacious and well decorated bar for patrons to enjoy as well as a fabulous patio for outdoor dining. The staff was very friendly and the service was impeccable. My guest and I were in the mood to try something new so we sampled two of the restaurants most intriguing appetizers: Flakey Fried Chicken Livers ($8) and Braised Soda Glazed Pork Cheeks ($10). Now I know you all are judging me right now because I ordered chicken livers. Don't roll your eyes too much because chicken livers are actually quite tasty. I had never had any type of "liver" ever before and was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed this appetizer. If I had to choose between the two I would go for the Pork Cheeks. They are extremely scrumptious and served over soft anson mill polenta, spinach, and marscapone. Yum! For our main dishes I had my eye on the Sprig Burger ($11) which is a mixture of beef chuck and brisket (Ah-may-zing!) and is served with lettuce, onion, mayo, and home-made fries. You can also have the choice of a gluten free bun with your burger for an extra $1.25. Although I had my eye on this menu item my guest beat me to the punch and ordered the burger for himself --__--. I won't complain because he was generous enough to let me taste a bite and I will definitely get the burger the next time I dine at Sprig. For my entree I ordered the Lamb Stroganoff ($16). This pasta dish was delicious as well! After my experience at Sprig I know to NEVER judge a book/restaurant by its cover. This place is truly amazing and a hidden gem that every foodie/hopeless romantic should check out!

(How Cute!)

(Usually I don't take bathroom shots but I thought this was so creative)
