As much as I love midtown Atlanta, sometimes I want to escape from all the noise and dine at quiet and peaceful restaurant. I was in search of the perfect date restaurant that provided : serenity, romance, quality customer service, and amazing food. I found all of these qualities at Pasta Da Pulcinella. This authentic Italian restaurant is tucked away on the corner of 13th ST NE and Peachtree Walk NE. With all of the madness that goes down on Crescent Ave you wouldn't think a romantic and ritzy restaurant existed just 1 street over. Pasta Da Pulcinella still feels some effects of an inner city location as they only offer metered and paid parking. So make sure you bring a few spare dollars to fend off A-Town towing. My date and I arrived at Pasta Da Pulcinella on a Monday evening. He had just gotten off of work and was looking for somewhere to relax and enjoy a good authentic Italian meal. I knew this historic restaurant would be the perfect place. Pasta Da Pulcinella has been in Atlanta since 1994 but totally revamped their restaurant in 2000. The restaurant now has amazing seating on the patio as well as a spacious interior dining hall. I found this restaurant to be the perfect choice if you were looking for an intimate spot where you could enjoy good food and great conversation. The restaurant's menu offers 9 classic House Favorites all under $20, in addition to daily features like antipasti, pasta, risotto, poultry, seafood, meat, and gnocchi! Yum! I asked the server what he suggested between the Lobster Ravioli and the $10 Linguine dish. He hands down said I should try the Lobster Ravioli which is ravioli stuffed with lobster and cheese in a champagne cream sauce topped with basil and diced tomatoes for $18. I love all things cheesy so this meal was the perfect choice for me. My date choose the Chicken Ravioli $15 which was ravioli stuffed with grilled chicken and wild mushrooms in a spicy tomato-basil cream sauce. I tried some of his dish and I actually preferred it over the Lobster Ravioli! All in all if you are looking for a romantic and upscale restaurant that gives a cozy and calming ambiance you definitely need to check out Pasta Da Pulcinella. I promise you won't be disappointed!
